Nu Group has successfully completed its first year supporting Reading Festival, delivering cleaning and waste operations across one of the UK’s most iconic live music events.
Reading Festival marked an exciting new addition to Nu Group’s 2026 event calendar and another major festival delivered by our teams during an incredibly busy summer season.
From the preparation and build-up through to the live event and post-event operation, our teams worked around the clock to keep the site clean, safe and operational.
Day and overnight teams worked across the festival, supported by our onsite supervisors and management team, with operations continuing through some particularly challenging weather conditions.
Heavy and persistent rain added another level of complexity to an already demanding festival environment, but the commitment from everyone involved never wavered.
Our teams adapted throughout the weekend, responding to changing site conditions and operational requirements while continuing to deliver across the site.
Taking on a major event for the first time requires a huge amount of work both onsite and behind the scenes.
Months of planning, staffing, logistics and operational preparation went into getting our teams ready for Reading Festival, followed by the round-the-clock coordination required once the event went live.
For us, successfully completing our first year at Reading Festival is therefore about much more than another event on the calendar. It represents the collective effort of everyone involved in delivering it.
A huge thank you goes to our operatives, supervisors, managers, suppliers and support teams who worked tirelessly throughout the event – particularly those who battled through the rain during some very long day and overnight shifts.
We’re incredibly proud of what the team achieved.

And another brilliant milestone in what has already been a huge 2026 festival season for Nu Group.
