50 years of pride

Every year the month of June is celebrated as Pride Month, and this year is its 50th birthday!

Marches, parties, protests and everything else is performed during the month of June to commemorate the actions that took place during the Stonewall Uprising in 1969.

Pride celebrates everyone included within the LGBTQIA+ family, sharing their love and friendship throughout the years and how far they have come. As much as the idea of how far they have come is celebrated, there is also the worry about how much work is still left to be done.

Pride month celebrates the equality and acceptance of everyone included and hopes to raise awareness about the amazing work they do to educate those about the issues affecting the community.

Homophobia is still very present in 2022 and Pride Month is just one of the actions in place to make people change their minds about the natural way of life.
