We understand that staying inside can be difficult especially if you’re generally an active person or someone who leads a busy lifestyle and isn’t used to feeling contained. However, if you think positively you can use this time to do many things!

Declutter
Now is the time to tackle the pile of unworn clothes or sorting out your wardrobe. Maybe, you have stacks of old DVDs/CDs or video tapes that you could give to a charity store. Grab some storage boxes or vacuum bags and start ditching your unwanted items! We promise you’ll feel a lot lighter after 😊

Meditation
If you’re someone that suffers from stress or anxiety or if you need some quiet time away from kids or family members, take a little time for yourself and meditate. There are plenty of meditation tutorials on YouTube or apps you can download that will take your mind to a peaceful place and talk you through breathing exercises to make you feel super relaxed.

Self-care
Ladies this one’s for you! As you won’t be leaving the house to go anywhere special this is the perfect time to go makeup free and pamper yourself. Try a face mask or painting your nails, get creative and make a natural skin or hair mask from ingredients you have in your kitchen! You will come out of isolation looking fresh as a daisy!

Cook
If you enjoy cooking or want to improve your cooking skills now is a perfect time. There are thousands of recipes online to follow, you might want to try a different type of theme each night; Mexican Monday or Thai Tuesdays!

Clean
One thigh high on the priority list for everyone right now is to be as clean as possible to avoid spreading germs. As we are aware that the germs from the Coronavirus can stay on surfaces for over 24 hours, it is important to regularly disinfect and wipe down surfaces. Don’t forget to sanitise door handles, kitchen surfaces, desk tops and computers.

Bake
If you have a sweet tooth try baking a cake for you and your family.

Workout
It’s important to stay as healthy as possible and with gyms closed many people will be finding ways to work out from home. There are lots of fitness instructors taking to social media to provide free online work out classes for everyone to join in with, you can also find many tutorials on YouTube catered for all different levels. Exercises like squats, burpees and press ups can are all achievable without gym equipment, so create some space in your living room and stretch it out! Boris Johnson has stated that we can go outside for exercise once daily, take advantage of this time by going for a run in the park and getting some fresh air.

Get some work done
Many of us are working from home, use this time to catch up on anything outstanding you may need to complete or brainstorm some new ideas for your business or company.

Watch a movie or TV series
If your having a bed day, get engrossed in a movie. This is a great time to watch a film you’ve wanted to see for a while but haven’t had the time to do so, or maybe you fancy watching an old classic! If you enjoy following a series, there are many to genres to choose from on Netflix or Amazon Prime.

Make a photo album
If you enjoy arts and crafts how about creating a photo album. Dig out the memory box that’s full of photos from all your trips with family and friends and get collaging! If you have children in your household arts and crafts is a great way to get their creative juices flowing.

Plant some flowers
The weather is perking up and the sun is out, why not plant some flowers in your back garden? If you don'r have a garden you could turn your terrace or balcony into a herb garden. Make the neighbours jealous in time for summer!

Video call your friends and family
Social distancing has been widely enforced during this pandemic and many of us are not able to go and see friends and family. While you’re at home make some time to keep in touch with them using Facetime or skype. It’s important to let others know you are thinking of them during this time.

Play board games
With everyone at home, playing board games is a great way to spend family time. It's also a good way of stimulating the brain by keeping your mind engaged.

Read a book
If there’s a book on your shelf that you haven’t got around to picking up yet, this is a great time to start reading it. This is a good way to escape reality for a few hours.

Sleep
Lastly, catch up on some sleep! For our bodies to be healthy and have energy, it requires a good amount of sleep to rejuvenate. Try going to sleep a little earlier than usual and get 8 hours of sleep each night to wake up feeling energised.
